PHONE DELAYS OR SLOW IN CHARGING
I am using a Infinix X551(HOT Note) recently my battery was swollen and gradually started depreciating in capacity to hold charge. It became serious last month that I decided it's hightime I changed the battery.
I finally changed the battery last week. I went for the original battery so as to avoid any battery issues as regards my phone.
I made sure I didn't use the battery at all to observe the 100% first charge rule to maintain the quality.
As soon as I got home, I plugged it and went to sleep.
I woke up after some hours it was not yet full. "That is too slow" I exclaimed. I used the same charger I've been using before but with another USB cable that is not broken.
Therefore I concluded it was the new battery that is not good. So I thought of returning it.
Later I realised it is not the battery.
To cut the long story short, I decided to share my discovery with people facing slow charging issue like I did.
Here are two of some of the causes of slow charging:
1. Low charging output: For a slow charge, this is the first the most common suspect. There are different charger with different capacity and specifications. While some chargers were made to give a reduced output current, some were made to supply more current for a fast charge. Although both types have their importance and use(lesson for another day).
However, if you notice your phone charges very slow check the output charge written on your charger if it less that 5v,1A it will be slow . Most fast chargers this day have an output of 2A(Ampere) 1.5A is good too. Some chargers now have more that 2A e.g 2.5 which is superfast. But I will not recommend that although you can use it when you need a very fast charge but not every time to maintain a good battery capacity.
2. USB Cable: This was responsible for my slow charge issues. A friend once mentioned it that one of his USB cables charges faster than another. I didn't believe until recently. My phone was charging extra slow like 6hour to make a full charge. I decided to use my former USB cable within few hours, my phone was full.
I noticed recently that new USB cables have their capacity attached to the end of the cable. Some have 2A some 1.5A. Anyone having any of this two does not cause a slow charging issue.
That is it for now.
I hope this is helpful.
